Wilson L. Ingalls, Jr. also known as Bill to his friends and family of Hominy was born June 21, 1935 in North Platte, Nebraska to Wilson L. and Mabel Martha (McCombs) Ingalls. Bill was raised and received his education in Colorado. Soon after high school Bill joined the United States Navy on January of 1955. Bill served his country until he was honorably discharged on January of 1963. Bill returned to Colorado and upon his return he was employed as a County Constable. Bill also worked as a Colorado Highway Patrol. In the early 1980Ãs Bill moved to Jennings, Oklahoma. In April of 1988 Bill accepted employment with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections at the Dick Conners in Hominy, Oklahoma as the Safety Coordinator. On November 25, 1992 Bill was united in marriage to Norma Ingalls (Hays) in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. When Bill had spare time he loved to ride motorcycles, work on his computer and do crossword puzzles
Bill passed away August 18, 2002 at his home in Hominy, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years 1 month and 27 days. He was preceded in death by parents.
Survived by his Wife, Norma Ingalls, of the home; children, Jay Ingalls of Colorado; Lori Ingalls of Colorado; sister Linda Kilpatrick of Colorado as well as many other family members and friends.
Services will be held Thursday August 22, 2002 at 10:00 am in the Chapman-Black Chapel officiated by Pastor Dan Edens. With burial at 3:00 pm in the Tamaha Cemetery in Tamaha, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
