Wilma was born on October 13, 1928, in Terlton, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Louis and Elizabeth (Niehof) Potts. Wilma began her education in Terlton where she later graduated. On February 20, 1947, Wilma was united in marriage to Floyd Cleo Spencer in Cleveland, Oklahoma. The couple has resided in the Cleveland area for all of their life where they raised their four children.
Wilma loved to help others. She would spend countless hours cooking for her family. Wilma was a wonderful mother and homemaker. Wilma was a very forgiving lady and never said anything hurtful or harmful about anyone. She was also very prompt about knowing and acknowledging everyone’s birthday.
Wilma made some of the best food around. Her noodles and dressing was her family’s favorite food that she prepared. She was also known to make some of the best biscuits and loaves of bread around. Wilma was baptized in the Baptist Church and would always watch church services on television.
Survivors are her husband, Floyd Cleo Spencer of the home; son Joe Spencer and Lou Ann of Jennings, Oklahoma; three daughters Connie Jean and Howard Dean of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Debra Ann Long and Steve of Jennings, Oklahoma, Cindy Lou Spencer of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Louise Whittenburg of Terlton, Oklahoma, Maxine Creekmoore of Terlton, Oklahoma, Bob Potts of Terlton, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings Wanda, Dale and Fuzzy Potts.
