Willie Charles Daniels was born April 28, 1927 to Claude and Sadie Duke Daniels in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Willie attended school in Cleveland, Oklahoma through 8th grade and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
After graduation Willie enlisted in the United States Army where he served 2 years and was honorably discharged in January 1947 with the rank of Spec. 5. Willie was asked to re-enlist but he said he had to go home to “My Jean.”
Willie and Geraldine were married July 27, 1947 in Cleveland, Oklahoma and to this union were born 4 Children. Willie worked for 53 years to support his family and to see each one of his kids graduate from college. Willie ended his work history as a bus driver for Hominy Public School System.
In 1980 Willie accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Because of his faith many lives were changed, he was active witnessing to others, teaching Sunday school, and serving as a Deacon at First Baptist Church in Hominy, Oklahoma.
Willie went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at his home in Hominy at the age of 87 years.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, but he leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 67 years, Geraldine “My Jean”, of the home, two daughters; Margaret Reeves and her husband James of Arcadia, Oklahoma, Marsha Ladd of Mobile, Alabama; two sons Danny Daniels and his wife Bubbles of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Willie Daniels of Tulsa, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
