William H "Bill" Glenn

William Herbert (Bill) Glenn, resident of Cleveland, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 9, 2023, at the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 4 days. Bill was born January 5, 1945 at home in Locust Grove, OK to William Hubert and Maxine Helen (Cowan) Glenn. He was raised in Locust Grove until the mid 1950’s when the family moved to Sand Springs. After high school graduation, Bill attended Okmulgee Tech in Okmulgee for two years where he learned carpentry. For 10 years, he operated a Texaco service station on Highway 64 until highway expansion caused the station to be torn down. Bill then worked in the maintenance department at Hissom Memorial for the State of Oklahoma until retirement. Since 1964, Bill had made his home on Keystone Lake. On April 15, 1988, he was united in marriage to Donna Jean Lively at Miami, OK, then honeymooned at Branson, MO. Bill and Donna loved to camp with their travel trailer, and he also enjoyed woodworking, working in his yard, and watching TV. Bill was also a fan of the older country music artists.

Those that survive include his brother – Bobby Brown and fiancé Linda Carriger of Cleveland and a sister Alma Jane Miears of rural Hominy. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and wife Donna in October of 2019.

Funeral services for Bill will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at the Westport Baptist Church with Fred Kerr officiating. Special musical selections will be” How Great Thou Art” by Alan Jackson and “Because He Lives” by Alabama. Committal rites will follow in the Woodland Cemetery, Cleveland where he will be laid to rest next to Donna. If anyone desires, the family ask for memorial contributions to either: Gideon’s International or to the Diabetes Foundation in lieu of flowers.
