Graveside services and burial for William Dean Linville will be Thursday, held August 31, 2006 at 10:00 am at the Blackburn Cemetery with Father Bruce Brosnahan officiating under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.

Dean was born July 30, 1943 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Woodrow Everett and Bessie (Thomas) Linville. Dean graduated from Hominy High School in 1961. After his graduation, Dean began working for the Osage Animal Clinic in Hominy and Pawhuska. Dean was united in marriage to Carol Garrett on September 4, 1964. After working at the veterinary clinic for several years Dean then gained employment working on the pipeline. While working on the pipeline Dean traveled through out the United States, retiring in April of 2005 as a purchasing agent.

Dean also has ranched and raised cattle and horses through out his life. Dean enjoyed fishing and had a love for animals. Dean won the Bankers Award for Soil Conservation and was a member of the Teamsters Union.

Dean passed away August 30, 2006 in his sleep peacefully at his home at the age of 63 years 1 month He was married to Carol (Garrett) Linville. His father preceded him in death.

Survived by his wife Carol of the home, daughter, Gena Linville Wyche of Cleveland, Oklahoma; mother Bessie Louise Linville of Hominy, Oklahoma; six siblings Woodrow Ellis Linville of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Ella Louise McCray of Owasso, Oklahoma; Louis Wayne Linville of Nowata, Oklahoma; Norma Jean Clift of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Jack Lee Linville of Saudi Arabia; Rosemary Burton of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
