William Arthur Vaughan, 47, of Terlton, Oklahoma, died Monday, April 7, 2008 due to injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.
Bill was born March 18, 1961 in Enid, Oklahoma the son of Arthur Lee and RaMona Ruth (Hays) Vaughan. While growing up Bill lived in Enid, Las Cruces, New Mexico and Lawrence, Kansas. In 1977, Bill moved with his family from Enid to their current home. After Bill completed his education in Mannford he began working for his father in the oil field. Bill then accepted a position in the roofing industry. He was employed with Atwell Roofing, Mott Roofing and was currently employed with Empire Roofing for the past 12 years. Mr. Vaughan also worked for Enid Window Service. He would clean the outside of the windows at Oral Roberts University, Bank of Oklahoma building as well as many other high rises in Tulsa.
Bill was very intellectual when it came to electronics. He loved to help anyone that was in need as well as being ambidextrous. He was always willing to find a answer on the internet to your questions or surfing the web on Ebay. Bill also was a very good judge of character.
Survivors include his parents Arthur and RaMona Vaughan of Terlton, Oklahoma, two brothers Vernon Lee Vaughan and wife Phyllis of Terlton, Oklahoma, David Wayne Vaughan of Minneapolis, Minnesota and one sister Linda Ruth Pierce and her husband Garry of Enid, Oklahoma as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 am Friday, April 11, 2008 in the Sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church in Mannford, Oklahoma with Rev. David D. Jenkins officiating. Friends may share a memory with the family at the funeral home or online at www.chapman-black.com
