Faught, 88, of Claremore, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018, in Claremore, Oklahoma.
Wilburn was born January 22, 1930, in Osage, Oklahoma. He was the son of George Wesley and Myrtle (House), Faught. Wilburn was raised and received his education in Osage, Oklahoma graduating from Osage High School. Following high school, Willie was united in marriage to Anna Marqueta Caves on August 19, 1948, in Pawhuska. Willie gained employment with Southwestern Bell where he worked until his retirement in 1988. During that time Wilburn and Marqueta resided in Bartlesville, Pawhuska, Vinita, Tulsa, and Cleveland. In 1958, Willie moved his family to Claremore where he has continued to live.
Wilburn loved to travel, he and Marqueta took numerous trips to Canada as well as to the Northwestern parts of the United States. However, his favorite thing to do was to go pheasant hunting in Kansas and Northwest Oklahoma.
Survivors are his son James Faught and his wife Carol of Tulsa, Oklahoma and numerous relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Wilburn was preceded in death by his wife Marqueta, one daughter Nancy Ginn and a sister Elwanda Sweeden.
Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
