Funeral services for Vonnie Floretta Peterman, will be held Thursday, November 9, 2006 at 10:00 am in the Sanctuary of the Keystone Baptist Church officiating will be Pastor Roger Rister. Burial will follow in the Sinnett Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.

Vonnie was born December 24, 1934 in Fairland, Oklahoma to Jessie Calvin and Delphia Oneida (Messimore) Sutton. Vonnie grew up in Arkansas, Missouri and Eastern Oklahoma where she received her education. Vonnie moved to the Keystone area with her family where she met Tommy Norman Peterman, Sr. Vonnie and Tommy were united in marriage on February 23, 1952 in Huntsville, Arkansas. Vonnie and Tommy established their home in Keystone. After the Keystone Lake was established they were forced to move to their current home.

Vonnie helped operate the Keystone Snack Bar for several years while her children were growing up. She later accepted employment at Target in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Yale Avenue. In the mid 1980ís Vonnie began working at The Cleveland Bank. While employed with the bank Vonnie served in numerous capacities some of them include being the personal banker for several customers. In 1996, Vonnie retired from The Cleveland Bank.

Vonnie was very active with the Sand Springs Pepper Steppers as well as faithful member of the Keystone Baptist Church. Vonnie enjoyed making clothing for her children and their square dancing attire. Vonnie and Tommy were delegates for the Northeastern Square Dance Association from 1990 till 2006 and charter member for the Westport Senior Citizens Center. Vonnie and Tommy enjoyed traveling. They visited places throughout the U.S., Canada as well as Hawaii.

Vonnie went to be with her Lord and Saviour Monday, November 6, 2006, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years 10 months and 12 days. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survived by her husband of over 54 years Tommy, of the home; six children Tommy N. Peterman Jr. & wife Beverly of Burns Flatts, Oklahoma; Jessie A. Peterman and wife Rebecca of Keystone, Oklahoma; Norma F. Higgins and huband Bob of Keystone, Oklahoma; Brenda L. Dyer and husband Larry of Keystone, Oklahoma; Jackie D. Peterman of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; Mickeal R. Peterman and wife Kristi of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Dean Sutton of Owasso, Oklahoma; Jerry Sutton of Eugene, Nevada; three sisters, Calene Adams of Owasso, Oklahoma; Jeanetta Garmin of Purcell, Oklahoma; Jean Brown of Harlem, Georgia; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Chad Peterman, David Higgins, Adam Roper, D.J. Victory, Rob Blake, and Chad Hubanks.
