Vera Lee Lay passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 in Jennings, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years 4 months and 10 days. Vera was boring in Claremore, Oklahoma on May 8, 1956. She was the daughter of John and Dorothy Fisher. As a young girl Vera moved to Olive area and completed her education at Olive High School. On February 14, 1975 Vera married Earl Lay. The couple lived in Olive for a short time than moved to Oilton. After the passing of Earl, Vera than moved to Jennings, Oklahoma where she raised.
Vera was a homemaker. She loved going fishing, especially with Earl. Vera enjoyed working on coloring books and spending time with her nieces and nephews, which she thought verily highly of. She always loved playing bingo.
Vera is Survived by: sisters Nina Gilbert of Jennings, Oklahoma, Kogee Wilson of Pawnee, Oklahoma; brothers Johnny Fisher of Hominy, Oklahoma, Kenneth Fisher of Edmond, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded by: husband Earl Lay in 2011, parents John and Dorothy Fisher.
Memorial Service Saturday September 23, 2017 at 2:00 pm Crossroad Community Church. Officiating the service will be Michael Clark
