When her children where young, she taught Sunday school and her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ was evident in her daily walk. Velma's love for her family was unconditional as could be seen by the joy she received from spending time and taking care of her children and grandchildren. She exhibited this love through her inner peace, patience, kindness, goodness faithfulness, gentleness and self-control that she received by being a member of the family of Christ.
Although, she dedicated her life to homemaking and providing a loving home for her family, she worked for a while as a dietitian at the Cleveland Area Hospital. She was an excellent cook and also enjoyed flower gardening and fishing.
