Veeda Mary Bland

Veeda Mary Bland was born at Chattanooga, Oklahoma to Mont and Lena Sexton. She lived in various parts of Oklahoma, but considered Hominy as her home.

Veeda served as a care giver in many homes. Her love for people was measureless. She was a member for the Church of God of Prophecy in Cleveland, where she served as Church Clerk and Treasurer.

Both her parents, husband, one sister and two brothers preceded her in death.

Survivors are one son Dale and wife Addie, three grandchildren Lisa, Terri & Shannon and their companions, nine grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

She says goodbye to family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Frank Wallace, Omer Horton, Lyman Hull, Sonny Abbott, Homer Holding, and Dave Holding.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 1, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Chapman-Black Chapel officiated by Pastor James Poulan. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
