U. Colleene Grigg passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Cimarron Pointe Care Center in Mannford, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years five months and eleven days. Colleene was born on November 3, 1930 in Terlton, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of Walter and Hazel Edna (Rudolph) Landreth. As a young girl Colleene was raised and attended school in Terlton. At the completion of her education Colleene moved to Oklahoma City and began working for an insurance company. She was later united in marriage to Denver Alvin Grigg on March 3, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Soon after their marriage Colleene and Denver established their home in Tulsa. Colleene also began working for Fo-Mac in Tulsa where she worked molding parts. In the early 1970Ãs, Colleene and Denver moved to Skiatook. Colleene continued to work for Fo-Mac and later accepted employment with Wal-Mart. In February of 1986, after the death of DenverÃs mother the couple purchased her home and returned to Terlton. In 1987, Colleene returned to Skiatook after the death of Denver and remained there for a short time before moving in with Kevin. In the mid 1990Ãs Colleene moved to Cleveland and later to Prattville in 2001. Following a stroke in 2002, Colleene had to move to the Cimarron Pointe where she has continued to reside. Colleene loved to read, crochet and play bingo. She has also crocheted everyone in her family at least one blanket. Colleene always looked forward to the holiday seasons. So that she would be able to make each and everyone their favorite dish and dessert. Colleene spent many hours in the kitchen during the summers. Denver always had a large garden and Colleene would can everything that he brought in. Survivors are her two sons, Gary Michael Grigg and wife Kathy of Brigham City, Utah, Keven Ray Grigg and wife Cynthia of Colorado Springs, Colorado, daughter Debra Lynn Price of Drumright, Oklahoma, five grandchildren Wayne and Shawna Peelman of Oilton, Oklahoma, Scott and Becca Barber of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Matt and Lacie Haney of Cushing, Oklahoma, Anna Price of Drumright, Oklahoma, Mary Elizabeth Grigg of Brigham City, Utah; three great-grandchildren brother, Oral Dean Landreth, three sisters, Marie Ledbetter, Pearl Miller, Helen Martin as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Colleene was preceded in death by her father Walter Landreth, mother Hazel Edgar, husband Denver Grigg, two brothers, Tom Landreth and Joel Johnson Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Terlton Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
