Tyler Aaron Nauss

Tyler Aaron Nauss was born November 14, 1997 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to David Nauss & Amber (Maxwell) Nauss- Belmer and passed from this earthly world on March 1, 2020, to be with his Lord and Savior. Tyler grew up in Cleveland his entire life graduating with the class of 2016. From the beginning Tyler was the happiest of babies; he was always smiling. His Aunt Karen and Cousin Stacy were a big part of the first year of his life. They watched him every day so his momma could finish high school. He loved them both so much and learned to walk at Aunt Karen's house. He spent many a Friday night with his Papa and Nana and weekends going to his Grandmas house or his Maw and Paws. Tyler adored all 6 of his grandparents. In 2002 Tyler became a big brother for the first time to Matthew and a year later he would welcome home a 2nd baby brother Jesse. Tyler loved his brothers deeper than any ocean and was so proud of them. It was about this time he would be diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Even though the disease slowed him down, it did not stop him from enjoying life and making friends. Tyler never met a stranger. He would become wheelchair bound at the age of 8 but he didn't mind that because it gave him the cool nickname "Wheelz" with all his classmates and friends. It wasn't uncommon to see all the kids running around the neighborhood playing army and of course Tyler would be right in the mix as the "Tank" even dressing up his wheelchair as a tank for Halloween one year. He was an avid gamer, rock music lover and enjoyed watching cooking shows, live pd and many other shows on Hulu and Netflix with his Dad and brothers in the evening and with his Aunt Trina who took care of him daily every week up until his death. He adored his Aunt Trina. They had a bond like no other.
Tyler had a lifelong friend named Haley Coffey. From the time she was born, she would become such an important part of his life. Haley went to both proms with Tyler in high school where he was crowned prom king his senior year. They spent many days hanging out, texting, laughing and supporting one another. That was often the highlight of his day.

Tyler started dating Tosha Hall in 2019, she also happened to be his Prom Queen their senior year. They dated briefly but were still in contact up until the date of his death. He loved Tosha and she meant a lot to him.

Tyler enjoyed the company of his friends and family and there were many. He loved to party plan for the holidays. Always telling his Mom or Dad that we need to plan a party. He always wanted everyone to get together and fellowship. He lived for it! When he was younger and still mobile his uncle Vernon and Aunt Donnabelle would pick him up for church or to go to Long John Silvers and the movies in Sand Springs later taking his brothers, sister and many other cousins with them. They kept taking him even when they had to haul his wheelchair around too. He loved them dearly. Tyler was an avid rock music fan. Attending several concerts like Ozzy, Metallica, Disturbed, 21 Pilots and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. His music tastes were very eclectic. He loved going to the Cain’s Ballroom and the BOK Center. He got to do many things in just 22 short years from going on cruises to concerts to the casino if his friends and family were with him, he loved every minute of it. He had a quirky sense of humor and loved to make people smile and hear them laugh. Tyler cherished his family, always looking forward to the holidays so he could spend time with them. In the last 6 months of his life he enjoyed spending his time playing Fortnite online with his Uncle David, Aunt Trina, nephew Dace, Mom and Stepdad until his hands were not able to play anymore. Tyler loved video games like Minecraft, Halo, and Destiny. When his hands wouldn't work anymore, he enjoyed watching his brother Jesse play Red Dead in Tyler's room. The world was a little bit brighter and kinder with him in it. He was selfless and loved to cheer people on.
