Truman Exendine passed from this life on March 16, 2022, at the age of 98.
Truman was born on February 23, 1924, in Lebanon, Missouri the son of Green and Elsie May {Laxton) Exendine. Truman grew up in the Tryon, Oklahoma, Terlton, Oklahoma and Vian area for many years. Truman later moved to Sand Springs in the later 1940s where he worked at Commander Mills. He was united in marriage on July 1, 1944, to Claudie Goad. They established their home in Sand Springs later moving to Hallett, Oklahoma in the late 1980's. Truman drove a truck for many years later retiring from Southwest Tube in 1988. In September 1994, Truman was once again united in marriage to Elvira Becker they continued to reside in Hallett.
Truman enjoyed music. He was a woodworker making numerous fiddles, guitars and other things throughout his life. He made canes as well as lots of other things for his friends and family. Truman always enjoyed going to the Senior Citizen dances in the area and never missed an outing.
Survivors are his children Brenda Summar of Terlton, Oklahoma, Randy Perry of Perkins, Oklahoma, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents Truman was preceded in death by his two wifes Claudia Goad, Vera Becker, son Derald Exendine and Micheal Exendine.
