Tinnie Lee (Dawson) Stach passed away Sunday, October 16, 2005 at the Good Shepard Hospital in Longview, Texas at the age of eighty-eight years, three months and three days.
Tinnie was born July 14, 1917 in Ada, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Isaac Franklin and Ida Bell (Towler) Dawson. Tinnie later moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma with her family where she received her education.
Tinnie was to Vernon Stach on December 21, 1946. She had been previously married to A. H. Davis.
She worked as a waitress or cook most of her life. In the past she owned and operated Jack's Cafe in Tonkawa, OK and The Cowboy Grill in Plains, TX. During World War II, she lived in the Los Angeles, CA area and worked as Rosie the Riveter building aircraft for the war effort.
Survivors include two sons, Herbert Davis of Henderson, TX, Vernon D. Stach and wife Margaret of Tatum, TX. 5 grandchildren, Keith Davis of Henderson TX, Debbie Davis of Waco, TX, Tammy Sunday of Cleveland OK, Darryl Stach of Cleveland OK, and Matt Stach of Tatum, TX and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two children, infant son of Mr. and Mrs A. H. Davis and Donna Vern Stach, one sister Fannie Dawson of Cleveland, three brothers Bill Dawson of Blackwell, Elmer Dawson of Cleveland, and Jess Dawson of Blackwell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m, Saturday at the Woodland Cemetery Chapel in Cleveland with Joe McKissick officiating. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
