Timmy Lee Day passed from this life on Monday, October 20, 2014 at his home in Cleveland at the age of 62 years, eleven months and six days. Tim was born November 14, 1951, in Weleetka, Oklahoma. He was the son of Paul Henry and Virginia Pauline (Burden) Day. Tim grew up and attended school in Cleveland later graduating with the Class of 1970. Following graduation Tim began working for Indian Electric. During his time at IEC, Tim obtained his certification as a Journeyman Lineman. After many years at IEC, Tim joined the IBEW #1002 out of Tulsa in March of 1980. At that time Tim began working throughout the United States as well as into Alaska installing transmission lines. Following 30 plus years of working Tim retired in 2013, due to health reasons. Tim was a wonderful and fun loving person to be around whom always enjoyed joking around. Tim would often carry on a conversation with anyone even if he did not know them. Tim enjoyed sitting down and reading Louis LÃAmour westerns. He would always comment on how he wanted to live back in the olden days. However, golfing was his passion. He was the Past President of Keystone Golf Club as well as currently serving as a board Trustee. Tim spent many hours playing golf as well as helping out with the mowing on a daily basis at the golf course. His mother and children were the things that were very dear to Tim. He would always go by and see Pauline and help her in any way possible. Tim also helped out his friends and continuously wanted the best for them. Survivors are his two sons Toby Day of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Tucker Day of Cleveland, Oklahoma, and their mother Terri Day of Cleveland, Oklahoma, mother Pauline Day of Cleveland, Oklahoma, brother Leon Day and his wife Janice of Cleveland, Oklahoma, one grandson Talan Day of Cleveland, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by father Paul Henry Day, sister Debbie Ann Hewitt. Services will be held 10:30 am, Thursday on the 9th green at Keystone Golf Club in Cleveland, Oklahoma with Rev. Dale Gowdy officiating. Services are under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
