Teresa June Young

Teresa June Young

Born July 20th, 1955 to Beacher and Wanda McNair. She was preceded in death by both parents, grandparents, one niece, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her husband Roy Young, children Kelley Smith, Lance Andrews, Buck Andrews, Seth Young, and Jacob Young, sisters Pamela Blackburn, Kimberly Cotter, Sherri Olson, and one brother Dan McNair, many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Teresa Young was a lifelong resident of the Cleveland area. She attended Keystone and Mannford schools.

She passed peacefully at home with family by her side after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was a beautiful person inside and out. So many people will mourn her passing. Her home was always open to every person and animal alike. She loved her family and she didn’t know a stranger. She loved dancing, camping, family fish fries, and living life no matter what obstacles came her way. Her mama used to tell her if she reincarnated she wanted to come back as one of her animals. She touched the lives of so many people. She showed us all how to be generous, caring, and brave.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in her name to Rose Rock Hospice and Cleveland Area Pound Pals.

A memorial service will be held at First Assembly of God church in Cleveland on Saturday March 14th, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Dan Edens officiating, under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. The family will have a private burial at Bethany Cemetery in Hallett at a later date.
