Teresa Beth Potts, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at her home in Skiatook, Oklahoma at the age of 58 years, nine months and twenty one days. Teresa was born January 5, 1956, in Pawnee, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Walter Clayton and Elvera Louella (Martin) Potts. As a young girl Teresa began her education in Terlton. She later started her freshman year at Cleveland and graduated with the Class of 1974. Following high school Teresa remained in Cleveland where she raised her two children Sandy and Brian. Teresa has worked at several places including Arlex, Terlton School cafeteria and for many years was a homemaker. In 2006, Teresa decided she needed to follow her calling and attended the nursing program at Drumright. Following her graduation from Drumright as a CNA she began working at the Cleveland Area Hospital. Teresa then moved to Skiatook and accepted a position at the Collinsville Nursing Home. In 2013, Teresa began working at the Pawhuska Hospital. Teresa worked there until she was forced to retire due to medical reasons on March 2, 2014. Teresa was the family care giver. She enjoyed helping others and especially those that were sick or in need. Teresa was a wonderful cook and all of her family and friends would rave about her fried chicken. She spent numerous hours working in her garden and planting flowers. She also enjoyed going to Branson as well as Eureka Springs. Teresa is described as a loving, caring, sweet and compassionate person. Teresa went above and beyond her duties as a nurse. She would often do whatever needed to make the patient feel good about themselves. Survivors are her two children Brian Parker of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Sandy Krueger and her husband Kevin of Collinsville, Oklahoma; three siblings Roger Potts and his wife Ila of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Sue Potts of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Clayton Potts and his wife Tammy of Norwich, Kansas, two grandchildren Regan and Isaac Krueger; two nieces Jessica Potts, Ashley Blevins; two nephews Dustin and Justin Potts and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her father W. C. ìFuzzyî Potts and mother Elvera Potts. Church services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the Western Heights Baptist Church with Rev. David Head officiating. Burial will follow in the Terlton Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
