Assistant Fire Chief with the Peninsula Fire Department Tammy Lynn Sharp was born October 31, 1960 in West Covina, California to Jack A. and Pearl Jean (Criswell) Holt. Tammy grew up in Lovelock, Nevada. At the age of 14 she moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tammy attended Webster High School and graduated with the Class of 1979. After Tammy graduated she remained in Tulsa and accepted employment at one of the local banks. Tammy worked for several different banks and later accepted a position with the Bank of Oklahoma in 1981. Tammy remained working at the Bank of Oklahoma for over 15 years. In August of 1996 Tammy had a car accident and was forced to stop working due injuries received in the accident.

Tammy was united in marriage to Bob Sharp in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 31, 1996. After their marriage Tammy and Bob made their home where Bobís family made their original homestead in the Peninsula Area at the original town site of Leroy, Oklahoma. After her recovery from the accident Tammy began volunteering at the Peninsula Fire Department. In 1997 Tammy received her EMT qualifications later obtaining the ranks as Captain.. Tammy also served as relief dispatcher when she was needed. Tammy had a love for the fire department; she was always attentive at the seminars held as well as striving to be the best she could be. While being the best she could be, Tammy was promoted to Assistant Fire Chief in March of 2005.

Tammy would spent countless hours listening to the scanners and radios helping emergency personel find locations faster due to her knowledge of the Peninsula Area. Tammy with out fail gave everyone a hug that she came in contact with. Tammy also had a love for her animals, working in the yard as well as the garden. Tammy also loved her husband, children, grandchildren, parents, family and friends to a point that no words could explain.

Tammy passed away Monday August 22, 2005 at her home at the age of 44 years 9 months and 21 days. She was preceded in death by one brother Steven Wayne Holt in January 17, 1990 and one sister Jacquline Jean Holt September 6, 1959.

Survived by her loving husband, Bob of the home; children Don A. Sellers of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Bobbi A. Gramm of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; Christy Hudson of Avant, Oklahoma; parents Jack Holt of Oakhurst, Oklahoma; Pearl Hopkins of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother, four grandchildren Cylie and Cody Hudson, Ayrial Sellers, Alisa Gramm, two half brothers Bingo Moss of Joplin, Missouri; Jessie Holt of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; one half sister Amber Garcia of Tulsa, Oklahoma as well as numerous other relatives, friends and colleagues.

Services will be held Saturday August 27, 2005 at 11:00 am in the Sanctuary of the Keystone Baptist Church with services officiated by Bill Stottlemyre and Rev. David Head. Burial will conclude at Leroy Cemetery with full Firefighters Honors under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
