Steven Glen Edgerton passed from this life at St. John’s Medical Center on October 8, 2018. David and Hellen (Williams) Edgerton welcomed him to the world on May 7, 1951. Graduating in 1969, Steven attended Cushing Schools. Steven then continued his education in Wilburton, Oklahoma. Steven started a welding business in Crescent, Oklahoma, Edgerton Welding. Later, he was hired as a pumper in the oil fields around Cushing.
Fishing and bird hunting were things he enjoyed. He also enjoyed working but was forced to retire due to health issues.
Steven is survived by 4 daughters; Tara Kucko of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Toby Miller of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Stephanie Sloan of McCurtain, Oklahoma and Ashley Newton of Joplin, Missouri. Steven has 9 grandchildren, brother Mark Edgerton of Cleveland, Oklahoma and his sister Marcia Gholson of Bullard, Texas. He is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, his parents, Dave and Helen Edgerton and a grandchild, Gage Kucko. Following his cremation, the family will place him on the land where he had many happy memories. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Children’s Center 6800 Northwest 39th Expressway Bethany, Oklahoma 73008 in memory of his late grandson, Gage Kucko.
