Funeral services for Sherry L. Lamb will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the First Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. George Boston and Dr. Larry Wilson. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.

Sherry was born October 20, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Carl C. and Olive Florence (Evans) Ames. Sherry was raised and received her education in Tulsa attending Edison High School where she graduated with the class of 1963. After graduation Sherry enrolled at Brookside Beauty School. After completion of her training Sherry began her career in cosmetology. On September 4, 1964 Sherry was united in marriage to Ted O. Lamb in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They established their initial home in Tulsa but soon moved to the Point Harbor area on Keystone Lake. Sherry and Ted have lived at several different places around the Tulsa area. On September 11, 2001, Sherry and Ted returned to Cleveland where they established their current residence.

Sherry worked as a mother, caregiver and homemaker doing what she loved best, taking care of her loved ones. She also loved going out on the boat, cooking, and the outdoors. Sherry especially loved the time spent at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, Corpus Christi, Texas and the beautiful Smokey Mountains. Sherry mostly cherished the times her family would get together. The holidays were always special to Sherry; she would have a multitude of gifts for her grandchildren and family to show her love that she had for each of them.

Sherry L. Lamb, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 59 years 6 months and 16 days. She was preceded in death by her mother and an infant son Scott.

Survived by her husband, Ted, of the home; three children, Mishell and her husband Robert Page of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Teddy and his wife Wendy Lamb of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Carla and her husband Craig Fack of Cleveland, Oklahoma; father, Carl Ames, Jr. of Hallett, Oklahoma; one sister, Velda Hughes of Hallett, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Robert Keith and Scott Page, Logan, Kenzie, Luke and Lily Lamb, Ashlee and Payton Fack, one sister in law, Janice Lamb Hensley of Claremore, Oklahoma; aunt and uncle, Iris and Johnny Day of London, England as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
