Sheila Jean Cole, 70, of Cleveland, Oklahoma passed from this life and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at her home in Cleveland. Sheila was born on June 29, 1939 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of James Ray and Margie Pauline (Coffey) Iness. As a young girl Sheila began her education in Hominy, Oklahoma. She traveled nearly every summer with her family as she was growing up throughout the United States as her father was a pipeliner. The family would normally return to Hominy in September or October each year so the children could return to school. Sheila always yearned of returning to Hominy where she graduated high school with the Class of 1956. While in high school, Sheila was an active member of the Pep Squad. Shortly after high school Sheila was united in marriage to Charles Toothman on January 19, 1957 in Prue, Oklahoma. The couple established their initial home Harlingen, Texas and later transferred to Altus, Oklahoma. In 1962, Sheila and Charles returned to Prue, Oklahoma where she remained until 1976. The couple had four children, Karen, Carl, Tony and Lisa. After her return to Oklahoma, Sheila moved to Cleveland where she accepted employment with the Cleveland Area Hospital. On July 5, 1977, Sheila was united in marriage to Bobby Cole in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bobby and Sheila made their initial home in Cleveland for nearly five years and then following BobbyÃs work traveled to many places including North Little Rock, Arkansas and Big Cabin, Oklahoma prior to returning to Cleveland in 2000. Sheila dedicated her life to being a good wife and an excellent mother to her children. She especially loved her family unconditionally and was never judgmental and always supportive. She was described by her family as a beautiful, fun-loving spirit, who was a good listener and a wonderful homemaker. She was extremely partial to her grandchildren and was BobbyÃs whole world. Sheila enjoyed flower gardening and had a green thumb who often shared plants and starters with her friends and family. She spent countless hours making ceramics which she enjoyed at the Cleveland Senior Center. She was an excellent cook and was famous for her peach cobbler and stuffing she made during the holidays. She loved to dance and was a better dancer sitting down than most people are standing up. She also loved sewing and made Teddy Bears for most of her family and many of her friends. She loved jewelry and especially liked turquoise. In addition to her family, Sheila also loved her dogs, a Pug named Pepper and the one she had at the time of her death, that her family called See Ya. Sheila is survived by her husband Bobby of the home, four children Karen Froese and her husband Lonnie of Inola, Oklahoma, Carl Toothman of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Tony Toothman of Corpus Christi, Texas, Lisa Weldon and her husband Todd of Cleveland, Oklahoma; two step children Bobby Bills and his wife Stephanie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Michael Cole and his wife Lisa of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister Shirley Elledge of Cleveland, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren Stephanie Adams, Amanda Fitzgerald, Carl Toothman, Todd Alan Weldon, Ryan Weldon, Ashley Toothman, Samantha DeBoer, Sheree Toothman; two step grandchildren Phoenix and Christopher Bills; seven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives, friends and classmates with whom she shared so much fun in her last years. In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by her brother Sonny Iness. Services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Gene Black speaking. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
