Sharol Alice Seitz

Church services for Sharol Seitz will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the Western Heights Baptist Church with Rev. David Head officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethany Cemetery in Hallett, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Sharol was born on August 12, 1957, in Pawnee, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Dave and Myrtle (Herrian) Donalson. As a young girl Sharol grew up on the family farm in the Hallett area. She attended school in Cleveland where she later graduated with the Class of 1975. Following high school Sharol remained in Cleveland, working at Judy Annís for many years as a waitress. In 1985, Sharol began working at the Westin Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma as a server and in 1986 met Steve Seitz. On February 12, 1987, in Cleveland, Oklahoma; the couple was united in marriage. The couple established their initial home in Cleveland and remained there until they relocated to Tulsa in 2001. In 1994, she accepted a position with International Insurance Brokers in the accounting department. Sharol continued to work for the company in the accounting department for nearly fourteen years, until she was forced into retirement due to health reasons in 2008. Sharol was always a loving, caring and outgoing person. She enjoyed working in her garden growing tomatoes and flowers. Sharol also had numerous bird houses and feeders as she would set for many hours just watching them play. She loved to go shopping and always loved to help other people. Sharol and Steve hosted foreign exchange teachers from China for several years. The two really enjoyed the opportunity and experiences that it brought to them and their family. Many have expressed that Sharol was pleasant, graceful and always met you with a smile. She hosted many family gatherings and would always cook her chicken noodles, mashed potatoes, and corn that everyone loved Survivors are her husband, Steve Seitz, of the home in Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter Sabrina Ellis and her husband Chad of Billings, Montana; three sons Mark Seitz and his fiancÈ Michelle of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Timothy Seitz and his wife Kate of Columbus, Ohio and Scott Donalson and his wife Heide of Tallahassee, Florida; five grandchildren Bailey, Jayce, Bryce, Riley, Zach; one brother David Donalson of Jennings, Oklahoma; three sisters Barbara Ward of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Shirley Sellers of Mesa, Arizona, and Patsy Wollschlager of Jennings, Oklahoma; special family member Linda McElheney of Jennings, Oklahoma as well a numerous other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. In addition to her parents Sharol was preceded in death by her brother Jerry Donalson who also succumbed to colon cancer.
