Ryan Lee Poag, was born March 29, 1972 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The son of Floyd Lee, Jr. and Karen Ann (Riley) Poag. As a young man Ryan grew up in Bethany, Oklahoma. He attended Putnam City West High School and graduated in 1990. While in high school Ryan was active in football as well as wrestling. He was honored with the All City Award for his talent in football. Ryan worked at several different jobs before accepting a position with Aces A/C Supply in Oklahoma City. Ryan continued working for Aces A/C and in 1999, he was transferred to the Tulsa office. In 1999, Ryan established his home in Cleveland. On November 20, 2004 Ryan was united in marriage to Kentra Gail (Fruechting) at Durango, Colorado. Mr. Poag has continued to work for Aces A/C Supply for the past 13 years and was currently the Branch Manager.
Ryan enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. You could often find him on the deer lease in Cleveland or near Ada searching for that perfect buck or gobbler. He also loved riding four wheelers at Appalachian Bay on Keystone Lake. Mr. Poag was also an avid OU Fan. Ryan loved the time that he spent with his family and friends either just talking or spending quality time at the lake with his lab ìDukeî.
Ryan Lee Poag, passed away October 29, 2007 at the age of 35 years 7 months. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Floyd Sr. and Opal Faye Poag, maternal grandparents L. D and Dorretha Riley as well as his maternal great grandfather Rev. Lee Stokes.
Surviving are his wife, Kentra of the home; three children, Kolton Lee Poag, Kaibree Gail and Kimberlee Gail all of the home; father, Floyd Poag of Yukon, Oklahoma; mother, Karen Poag of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister, Stephanie Boyd of Langley, Oklahoma; brother, Kyle Poag of Bethany, Oklahoma; father in law, Steve Fruechting of Cleveland, Oklahoma; grandparents in law, Jerry and Freda Fruechting of Owasso, Oklahoma as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 10:00 am in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Richards officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
