In loving memory of Ryan Keith James, who departed from this world on March 10, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the tender age of 30, due to complications of type 1 diabetes.
Ryan graced this world on October 8, 1993, in Cushing, Oklahoma, bringing joy and warmth to his parents, Bobby Bailey, Jr., and Stephanie Anne (James) Roberts. He spent his formative years in Cleveland, graduating with the Class of 2012, leaving behind a trail of cherished memories and lifelong friendships.
Ryan's heart overflowed with a love for music, finding solace in its melodies, and sharing its joy with those around him. He could often be found sitting outside, engaged in heartfelt conversations with his friends, or immersed in the process of writing song lyrics into his beloved notebooks. His laughter was infectious, brightening the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Among his many attributes was his unconditional love for others, a quality that endeared him to everyone he met. Whether at the skate park, in the company of his loyal dog, Bandit, or simply in the presence of loved ones, Ryan's kindness and warmth touched the lives of many.
Ryan, fondly nicknamed Ryhno, was known for his adventurous spirit, often found engaging in shenanigans like climbing on top of the house and getting covered in tar, much to the amusement of his friends and family.
Despite his struggles, Ryan fought hard to overcome his illness, displaying remarkable courage and resilience in the face of adversity.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by his devoted mother, Stephanie Roberts; loving siblings, Zachary Roberts and Curtis Roberts; and his grandmother, Ida James, along with a multitude of other relatives and friends who were deeply impacted by his presence. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Edward James, Uncles Curtis James and Howard West, cousin Darrell James, and his great-grandparents, who await his arrival with open arms.
A celebration of Ryan's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel. While his physical presence may be gone, his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. The burial will take place at a later date in the Highland Cemetery in Pawnee, Oklahoma.
In his passing, Ryan has left an indelible mark on our hearts, reminding us of the beauty of unconditional love, resilience, and the preciousness of every moment shared. As we bid farewell to our beloved friend, may he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the melodies of the heavens.
