Ruth Lorene Adams passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at her home in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of 91. She was born on October 9, 1921 in Chetopa, Kansas to Heratio James and Laura Anna Bell (Lee) Gwin and had six sisters and one brother. RuthÃs family moved to Cleveland in 1932 where she graduated from high school. After her marriage to Floyd Adams, they moved to Chase, Kansas. In 1942 they moved to Richmond, California where Ruth worked as a welder in the shipyards during World War II. She and her family subsequently moved several times between California and Texas and Oklahoma. They returned to Cleveland in 1992. Ruth loved learning and always kept abreast of news stories and could speak to events going on around the world. She read the Bible religiously and took pleasure in giving to others. She always had a positive outlook on life and cared about the wellbeing of others. Ruth was a powerful prayer warrior who loved to witness for the Lord. Wherever she went there was never a missed opportunity to bring a lost or wandering soul to Jesus.
