Ruby Ellen St Clair

Ruby Ellen St. Clair, longtime Owasso resident, passed from this life on Friday, August 5, 2011 at the age of eighty-two. Ruby was born in Cleveland, Oklahoma on September 7, 1928; she was the daughter of William E. and Bessie Anna (Ellis) Kelso. Ruby was raised and attended school in Cleveland until the tenth grade when she moved to Kansas where she completed her education. Ruby was married to Kenton Donald St. Clair on June 3, 1946 in Rogers, Arkansas. The couple spent most of their marriage in the Owasso area until Kenton passed away on December 7, 1983. Ruby loved the outdoors and animals. She spent many happy hours enjoying her favorite pastime of fishing and camping. She also enjoyed reading. Ruby is survived by many cousins, friends and longtime neighbor and caregiver, Jerry (Joe) and Karan Pace. Ruby considered their children , Krista Kay, Joe and Justin as her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Gilbert and Robert Kelso; and two sisters, Ina Florene Kelso and Avis Evelyn Mitchell. Funeral services were held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Chapel of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Rev. David Head officiating. Burial was at the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
