Ronald Lee Upshaw passed from this life on March 7, 2021 at the age of 85 in Cleveland, OK.
Ron was born on December 1, 1935 at Shawnee, Oklahoma; the son of Arnold Lee and Netty Ione (Robertson) Upshaw. Ron grew up and attended school in Seminole, Tulsa before moving to Cleveland in 1946. Ron and his brother Gordon graduated from Cleveland High School together with the Class of 1953. Following high school Ron began working as an electrician apprentice before attending school at Oklahoma A&M. On April 4, 1958, Ron was united in marriage to Carol Ann Ditto in Osage, Oklahoma. Ron worked with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 584 starting in 1954 until his retirement in 1997.
Ron enjoyed riding motorcycles. He and Carol took several trips. Ron would often take off by himself places through out the local area. Ron loved and enjoyed watching sports and especially when it was his children and grandchildren. Vacationing were always yearly events with the family.
Survivors are his wife Carol Upshaw of the home, three sons Randy Upshaw and his wife Tammy of Verdigris, Oklahoma, Jim Upshaw and his wife Yadira of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Steve Upshaw and his wife Janet of Jenks, Oklahoma; grandchildren Jennifer Gagan and her husband E.J. of Lenapah, Oklahoma, Jordan Page and her husband Keiton of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Cade Upshaw of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Nicole Upshaw and fiancé Danny Henneghan of San Francisco, California, Keana Upshaw of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Jade Upshaw of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Zeke Upshaw of Houston, Texas; Lyndsey Flewellen and husband Blake of Drumright, Oklahoma, Ty Sparks and wife Jeana of Managua, Nicaragua, Ashley Edgerton and husband Mike of Jenks, Oklahoma; great grandchildren Connor, Collin, Callen, Blakely, Ainsley, Addie, Molly, Kayla, Codi, Ty E., Ryan, Amber, Hunter, Macey, McKinley, Ellie, and Brex and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents Ron was preceded in death by his brother Gordon Upshaw.
