Ronald Dean Brown

Ronald Dean Brown, 76, passed from this life on October 4, 2018, at St. John’s Medical Center in Tulsa. Born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on June 19, 1942, he was the son of Delbert and Eva Elizabeth (Marsh) Brown. After living a short time in New Mexico, the family moved to Terlton, with Ronald graduating with the final class of Terlton Schools, the class of 1960. Shortly after graduation, Ronald was united in marriage to Ernestine Avants on July 17, 1960. They then made their home in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

The couple then moved to Stillwater, where Ronald worked for the highway department. In the mid-1970s, Ronald began working for Crane Carrier Company as a welder, where he was employed for 32 years. Since 1979, the couple has lived in Olive, Oklahoma.

Ronald loved his children; he said they were his greatest enjoyment. His fondest memories were of camping with them. Fishing, hunting, and camping were his hobbies. In 2012, the family took an Alaskan cruise. While there, they went flounder fishing. He said it was the greatest vacation he ever had.

Surviving Ronald is his wife, Ernestine, and two sons, Jim and Wayne. Ronald has two brothers; Billy and Gordon, and one sister; Dulcie Hopper. 8 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive him. Preceding Ronald in death are his parents, five brothers; Elmer, Bob, Orvil, Kenneth and Jack, and sisters Shirley Maness and Patsy Sowinski.

Ronald wished to be cremated, with his ashes being interned at Terlton Cemetery on Saturday, October 20, 2018 – 11:00 am. Under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland, Oklahoma. You may share a memory at www.chapman-black.com.
