Roger Tracey Weaver

Roger Tracey Weaver was described by his family as a fun loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend; who at times could be slightly ornery and sometimes just a pain in the butt. He enjoyed pulling jokes and playing pranks on those around him even if it made them a tad bit mad. His light-heartedness will be remembered by his family and especially by his grandchildren who loved to have him babysit for them. Roger was born on September 30, 1950 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; the son of John Leon Weaver and Phyllis (Spess) Pulliam. Although he grew up in the Mannford area and attended school there, Roger spent a lot of time with his grandparents in Cleveland, Ray and Ruby Spess. Upon the completion of his education, Roger assisted the Spess family in farming their land in Pawnee and Creek Counties and with the operation of Spess Oil Company in any capacity needed including driving trucks, working on drilling rigs and office work. In the late 1980ís, Roger attended welding school in Tulsa and began a career in tank and vessel construction and tank repair and maintenance services to the downstream petroleum and industrial gas industries, working initially for Matrix Service Company and later with Skinner Tank Company in Yale, Oklahoma. He worked as a welder and fabricator on projects throughout the United States. He has been committed to his longtime companion and friend, Diana for nearly twenty-eight years since initially residing together in Mannford and later moving to their home in Terlton. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed Tony Stewart as his favorite driver. He had a few favorite television shows that he watched including, NCIS, Two and a Half Men, the Sopranoís and believe it or not liked to watch the Young and the Restless. He considered himself a classic rocker and listened frequently to KMOD enjoyed 70ís and 80ís Rock. In his early years, he loved coon hunting and fishing and has always enjoyed what he called ìtootalingî; driving the back roads. Roger passed from this life on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, near Mannford with family by his side at the age of sixty-one.
