Roberta Diehnel

Roberta Diehnel passed away on June 17, 2023, at the age of 95 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Roberta was born on December 2, 1927, in Cleveland, Oklahoma the daughter of Harve and Eddie Beatrice (Howell) Griffin. Roberta grew up and attended school in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Roberta began working at a local bank for several years before being united in marriage to Bobbie Leander Diehnel on September 2, 1948, at the First United Methodist Church in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Roberta and Bob traveled to many places in the United State for several years. Once their two sons Doug and David were born, they returned to Cleveland, where Roberta worked at Overman Insurance Agency for many years.

Roberta enjoyed playing bridge, knitting and being with her best friend Sybil. Roberta was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Cleveland and also served as the church treasurer. Roberta was also a committed part of the Cleveland Hospital Auxiliary better known as the "Pink Ladies." Helped with numerous blood drives and volunteer work at the hospital.

Survivors include her son David Diehnel of Portland, Oregon, granddaughter Stephanie Reed, great grandchildren Marley, Finn, Evie Cate and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents Roberta was preceded in death by her husband Bob, one son Doug, and eight siblings.

Services will be held at Chapman-Black Funeral Home Thursday, June 29, 2023, 4:00 pm with Rev. David Mingus officiating services. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Roberta at www.chapman-black.com.
