Robert Lynn Starrett

Robert Lynn Starrett, youngest child of Charles Wesley and Bonnie (Robinson) Starrett was born March 21, 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was raised and attended school in Cleveland, graduating from Cleveland High School in 1980. Upon completion of his education, Robert began a career in the oilfields of Northeastern Oklahoma working on drilling rigs and then later as a welder. He loved spending time outdoors and especially liked fishing. His favorite pastime, however, was spending time with his daughter, Casey. They would spend countless hours together playing and enjoyed stepping out on the front porch of their home playing the guitar and singing. He was described by his family as a loving husband, father and brother who enjoyed life and having fun. Robert passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009 at his home in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of forty-seven. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Bonnie Starrett. He is survived by his wife, Diana Lynn Deramo of the home; three sons, Kyle Starrett of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jacob Starrett of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Charles Deramo of Cleveland, Oklahoma; two daughters, Laura Deramo of Cleveland, Oklahoma and Casey Starrett of the home; sister, Charolit Roe of Cleveland, Oklahoma; and two brothers, Roy Starrett of Cleveland, Oklahoma and Phillip Starrett of Perry, Oklahoma. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held a later date. The family will bury the cremated remains at the Woodland Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
