With much sadness, we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Lamkin on April 16, 2021, in Cleveland, Oklahoma, at the age of 79.
Robert was born on December 25, 1941, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Clifford and Doris Lamkin. He graduated from Pryor, Oklahoma. Bob married Marsha on March 17, 1989.
He began his career as a journeyman electrician. In 1976, he founded Bob's Auto Repair, and for the last 33 years, you could always find Bob, Marsha, and Buddy ready to serve their loyal friends and customers. Bob was happy to know his grandson Devyn and his two faithful long-term mechanics Matt Randell and Rob Robbins will be carrying on his legacy.
Bob lived his life with the firm belief that there is more happiness in giving than in receiving. (Acts 20:35) Anyone who knew him would agree. He also has a strong hope in the Bible's promise of a resurrection. (John 5:28,29)
Bob is survived by his wife Marsha of the home; children Brad Lamkin and his wife Stacy of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Trisha Azar and Joe of Izmir, Turkey; Jimmy Gramblin and his wife Alicia of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Amber Robbins of Cleveland, Oklahoma. Six beautiful grandchildren, Allie, Devyn, Taylor, Ethan, Bentley, and Maya; one great-grandchild Edyn and one soon-to-be Sawyer Loren; two siblings Barbara Shirley of Texas and Judy Mayberry of Alabama. Bob was preceded in death by his son Brett Lamkin and his parents Clifford and Doris Lamkin.
At the request of Bob, he asked for no memorial service to be held. We would love for you to share your memories of Bob at www.chapmanblack.com or send cards to the shop 409 South C Ave. Cleveland, Oklahoma.
