Robert Lee Clark was born November 13, 1967 in Fort Riley, Kansas. He was the son of John M. and June Evelyn (West) Clark. Robert moved with his family to Cleveland in 1981 and attended Cleveland schools, graduating from Cleveland High School in 1986. Shortly after graduation from high school Robert began a career as a cross country truck driver, working for numerous companies in Texas. He never really considered driving a job he always said he was a ìtraveling tourist.î RobertÃs last position, prior to his medical disability was a short haul driver for C and R Services. Robert was extremely proud of his daughter Elizabeth ìLizzyî and considered her birth as one of his fondest memories. He truly enjoy traveling while truck driving and especially enjoyed fishing, camping, canoeing and floating the Illinois River when he wasnÃt working. He often said that his relationship with God had the greatest effect on his life along with his parents, brothers, sisters and close friends. Reflecting back upon his life, Robert indicated he would have spent more time with loved ones and friends fishing, boating and barbequing. He would have spent less time worrying about lifeÃs troubles. He was described by his family and friends as a living, determined son, father, brother and friend who was always loyal and kind. He was compassionate and always wanted to treat those around him fairly. He was always known as quite a trickster who enjoying having fun. Robert passed from this life on Friday, June 13, 2014 at his parentÃs home in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of forty-six. He was preceded in death by his mother, June Golden; paternal grandparents, John Milo Clark, II and Cleo Clark; and his maternal grandparents, Chester and Billy Jean Zimmerman. He is survived by his parents, John and Wanda Clark of Cleveland, Oklahoma; two brothers, John Milo Clark IV and Chris Joel Clark; one sister, April ìGoldenî Anderson; three step sisters, Margy Davis, Teresa Dorton and Sandra Henry; and a daughter Elizabeth ìLizzyî Clark. A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Edens officiating. Cremation arrangement were entrusted to Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
