Robert Eugene Morton Jr. passed from this life on April 13, 2021, at the age of 70 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Bob was born on October 14, 1950, in Tulsa, Oklahoma; the son of Robert Eugene, Sr. and Wanda Dean (Martin) Morton. Bob grew up and attended East Central High School graduating with the Class of 1968. Following high school Bob joined the Merchant Marines in Boston, Massachusetts and attended college. Bob returned to Oklahoma and was united in marriage in March of 1970. He gained employment at Big 4 Foundry. Bob later moved to Ft. Gibson and obtained a position with Fansteel in Muskogee. Upon moving back to Tulsa in 1983, Bob began working in the food service industry. In the early 1990's he returned back to manufacturing until his retirement in 2001. On November 7, 1994, Bob was united in marriage to Claudie Lou Smith making their home in Tulsa before moving to Bristow. In 2000, Bob and Claudie moved to Castle, Oklahoma. While in Castle, Bob served on the City Council and was Mayor for over six years. In May of 2018, Bob and Claudie moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Lake Tenkiller and the Kiamichi Mountains were his favorite places to spend time with family. Traveling was also enjoyable; especially the trip to Mt. Rushmore and Sturgis. Working puzzles and taking time to fish were also favorite pastimes.

Survivors are his wife Claudie of the home, son Brandon Morton and his wife Candace of Cleveland, Oklahoma; step son Leon Latham of Los Angeles, California, special daughter in law Monica Latham of Okemah, Oklahoma, step daughter Amanda Weston and her husband Mike of Coweta, Oklahoma, step son Shane Alcorn of Tulsa, Oklahoma, step daughter Anna Thomas of Austin, Texas; one brother Dana Eitzen and his wife Elizabeth of Muldrow, Oklahoma; one sister Lisa Baker of Owasso, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his father Robert Morton, Sr., mother Wanda Eitzen and step father Lloyd Eitzen.

Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the First Baptist Church with Brother Mike Lewis and Brandon Morton officiating services. Family has requested memorial donations be made in honor of Robert to the building fund at the Castle Baptist Church at P.O. Box 219, Castle, Oklahoma 74833. Burial will be held at a later date in the Castle Cemetery. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
