Services for Robert Dale Cheek, will be held 2:00 pm Monday, April 25, 2016, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Steve Southward officiating. Rob was born January 8, 1972, in Cleveland, Oklahoma. He was the son of David Cheek and Billie (Perry) Hyatt. Rob was raised in Hallett, Oklahoma and received his education in Cleveland, Oklahoma. During his time in school, Rob was active in sports especially wrestling. Following the completion of his education, Rob attended welding school and began working at Webco Manufacturing. Rob has also been employed at Davco Fab, Stewart Stone and Oaks Fabrication. He was currently self employed doing residential construction and remodeling.
Rob was very knowledgeable in fabrication. It has been said that he could, “build a battleship out of a piece of tin.” Rob enjoyed fishing and making crafts out of the most unique items. He always enjoyed the times with his children and grandchildren, teaching them things that he valued most. Rob always enjoyed a good laugh and was a practical jokester. Rob had a special place in his “big heart” for people and animals. Whether the stray was a human or a animal, Rob knew their struggles with life and always, with that huge smile, went about making a difference. His life touched so many with his kindness and caring attitude. Rob was baptized and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Rob passed from this life on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, in Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of 44 years old.
Survivors are his children Nick Green of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Lindsay Rohling of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Dylan Cheek of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Hayden Goad of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Saydee Smith of Cleveland, Oklahoma, parents David Cheek of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Billie and Bill Hyatt of Hallett, Oklahoma, siblings Amy Quinn and her husband Roland, Donnie Cheek; grandchildren Tyler Rohling, Melody Rohling, Malikai Goad and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
