Richard Wayne Harvel, II, 23, passed from this life on Thursday, January 24, 2019.
Ricky was born on April 18, 1995, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the son of Richard Wayne and Carla (Smith) Harvel. He attended school in Cleveland graduating with the Class of 2014. During his time growing up, Ricky was very active playing baseball, skateboarding and spending time with his friends. Following high school, Ricky worked at Indian Electric Cooperative and had been recently employed on the brush crew for Hardin Tree Service.
Ricky was always up for going fishing with his best buddies. He was ever known for his bright and contagious smile. When Ricky would meet you, he would hug you and knew he meant it. Ricky was very free-spirited and had a love above all for his family and friends. His love for everyone was unconditional. Gatherings of family and friends were always memorable for Ricky and would continually talk about the event at later times. Ricky was always happy and very much a people pleaser. Giving to others, very quick-witted and willing to make a difference. Ricky enjoyed going on family vacations, going to skate parks or just hanging out at Trey and Jasey’s house. He also enjoyed playing Grand Theft Auto on the Playstation. One of his most memorable events was to help with the Special Olympics yearly. He always looked forward in trying to make a difference for those less fortunate than himself. Ricky steadily looked for ways to lift others and make them feel better about themselves. In October of 2009, Ricky rededicated his life to his Lord and Saviour.
Survivors are his parents Rick and Carla of Cleveland, Oklahoma, grandparents Kathleen Pulley of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Carl and Sharon Smith of Cleveland, Oklahoma; maternal great grandmother Betty Odle of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, sisters Raina Bevins and Courtney Harvel both of Cleveland, Oklahoma; brother Jacob Harvel of Cleveland, Oklahoma; nieces Teagann, Leiton; nephews Bentley, Beckham and a host of other relatives and friends.
