Richard Lee Adrean, of Osage, Oklahoma, 39 years old, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Ritchie was born February 18, 1978, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the son of William Dee and Kathy Janneice (Herd) Adrean. Ritchie grew up and attended school in Tulsa and Jenks where he graduated from in 1996. After graduation, Ritchie furthered his education at NSU in Tahlequah lacking only 9 hours from obtaining his Bachelor's degree. Ritchie later returned to Tulsa, Oklahoma and accepted a position at Tulsa Federal Credit Union in 2002. On June 6, 2012, Ritchie was united in marriage to Mary Rachel Fowler. Following their marriage they established their home in Coweta, Oklahoma. Ritchie continued working at TFCU until he was involved in an auto accident. Following the accident Ritchie was no longer able to work and retired in 2013. In February of 2016, Ritchie and Rachel moved to Osage where they have continued to reside.
Ritchie enjoyed fighting chickens, fishing, camping and being at the lake. Swimming in the lake was what he loved to do. Ritchie just recently taught his two youngest children how to swim which he was very proud of. Ritchie loved the times he and his father Bill would attend derbies. They won many trophies and were respected by numerous people. Ritchie always looked forward to going to Jack Buck’s 80 acres and spending time there just relaxing.
Survivors are wife Rachel of the home; four children Nathan, Paige, Trevor and Travis of the home; mother Kathy of Osage, Oklahoma, one brother William D. Adrean, Jr and his wife Stephanie of Heavener, Oklahoma, aunt Janie Adrean of Osage, Oklahoma; nephews Dawson, Luke, Lance, nieces Tori, Tifany, Paris and many other relatives and friends. Ritchie was preceded in death by father and mentor William Dee Adrean in 2015, grandmother Juanita Ruth Adrean, grandfather William Oliver Adrean, one uncle Richard Hale Adrean, two nephews Jacob and Jasper Workman.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Osage, Oklahoma with Pastor Keith Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in the Osage Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com.
