Richard Eugene Zickefoose Ii

Richard Eugene Rowdy Zickefoose II was born June 23, 1983 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the son of Richard Eugene Zickefoose and Karen Denise (Hill) Graves. Rowdy was raised an attended school in Cleveland. While attending Cleveland High School, Rowdy was a three sport letterman in football, baseball and wrestling.

Upon completion of his education, Rowday began working for his father's commercial construction business, Zickefoose Construction as a laborer. He later was employed in the capacity of construction superintendent on numerous jobs including building dormitories at Oklahoma State University.

Most recently, Rowdy has been attending bonding school for Spirit Aerospace in Tulsa. His hobbies included driving anything that went fast. He has competed at the Tulsa Speedway in dirt track racing and especially enjoyed riding and racing four wheelers. He also enjoyed shooting sporting clays and loved to beat his mother in shooting competitions.

Rowdy passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2007 at his home near Jennings, Oklahoma at the age of twenty-three years, eleven months and sixteen days. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles Sonny Zickefoose, paternal grandmother, Carleen Turner and his maternal grandfather, Ish Hill.

Rowdy is survived by his father, Rick Zickefoose of Broken Arrow; mother and step-father, Karen and Russell Graves of Cleveland, Oklahoma; grandmother, Carolyn Hill of Cleveland, Oklahoma; half-brother, Ryan Zickefoose of Mannford, Oklahoma; step-sister, Mindy Alford of Ripley, Oklahoma; best friend, Adam Horine; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the First Christian Church with Stoney Capehart officiating. Burial will be at the Sinnett Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Horine, Chris Glidden, Ryan Zickefoose, David Glidden, Justin Collins, Keith Buntin, Nick Cook, and Wes Wyrick.
