Rebecca Jane Pickens known to her friends and family as Becky passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on August 28, 2021, at the age of 65.

Becky was born on April 24, 1956, at Sugar Creek, Missouri; the daughter of James Wilbert and Dorothy M. (Bartels) Thompson. Becky grew up and attended school in Harrisonville, Missouri graduating with the Class of 1974. Following high school Becky furthered her education at Nevada Regional Technical Center where she obtained her Licensed Practical Nurse. Becky then obtained a position with Truman Medical Center in Kansas City. Becky furthered her education at Ft. Scott in 1993 graduating receiving her Registered Nursing degree. She worked at several location in Missouri at nursing homes and hospitals. When moving to Oklahoma Becky began providing her skills at hospice organizations, home health care, Select Specialty Hospital and was currently working at Cornerstone Hospital in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. On June 1, 2017, Becky was united in marriage to Gregory Pickens in Cleveland where they have continued to reside.

Becky loved to work in the garden, sewing, knitting, playing the piano and loved giving her love to her patients. She also like to sing, working in her yard, sitting in the gazebo and collected chicken themed salt and pepper shakers. She loved traveling on the motorcycle and going to eat fried chicken. Becky also loved her pets and took many in.

Survivors are husband Greg of the home, two daughters Esther Foley and her husband John of Owasso, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Taylor and her husband Jeff of Kearney, Missouri; mother Dorothy Thompson of Adrian, Missouri; siblings Kevin Thompson and his wife Shirley of Adrian, Missouri, Priscilla Thompson of Adrian, Missouri, sister in law Kim Thompson of Jenks, Oklahoma; grandchildren Meckenzie, Jentzen, Ryan, Ben, Miranda and Levi Taylor, Isaiah, Eden, Caleb Foley. Becky was preceded in death by her father James Thompson, brother Walton Thompson and a grandson Dominic Taylor and was greeted in Heaven by a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 2:00 pm, Friday at the First Baptist Church in Terlton, Oklahoma with Pastor Justin White officiating services. Family will receive friends and family on Thursday evening from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery at Cleveland, Oklahoma.
