Raymond Eugene Rogers

Funeral services for Raymond Eugene Rogers, will be held 1:30 PM Monday at the Grace Gospel Church in Jennings, Oklahoma with Pastor Casey Muse and Odis Wayne Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Jennings Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends may share a memory with the family on Raymond’s memorial website at www.chapman-black.com

Raymond was born November 5, 1960 in McAlester, Oklahoma. He was the son of Charles Raymond and Barbara Ellen (Phillips) Jones. Raymond grew up and attended schools in Stigler and Beaver Mountain area in southeastern Oklahoma. He later moved with his family to Claremore and Catoosa area where he completed his education. Raymond later gained employment with Hurst Supply which later became Quickcrete. Raymond then began working at Sooner Pride as a mechanic. On September 13, 1983 in West Branch, Michigan, Raymond was united in marriage to Peggy Marjorie Lauria. Following the couples marriage, they returned to Oklahoma and established their home in the Tulsa area. Raymond began working for Maxwell Supply in 1989. Raymond has been employed with Maxwell for the past 27 years and was currently a delivery driver. Raymond and Peggy moved to Jennings in 2006, where he was currently residing.

Raymond enjoyed watching football and tinkering on classic autos and was a Sooner fan at heart. Raymond also always looked forward to the family yearly vacations which always began without no place in particular as their destination. Fishing and hunting was also a pastime of Raymond’s. Raymond was a member of the Grace Gospel Church in Jennings.

Raymond passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, in Drumright, Oklahoma at the age of 56 years three months and three days.

Survivors are his loving wife Peggy of the home; three children Rebecca Wiseman and her husband Joshua of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Charles Rogers and wife Crystal of Jennings, Oklahoma, Isaac Rogers of Jennings, Oklahoma; mother Barbara Jones and her husband Floyd of Jennings, Oklahoma; two sisters Kathy Fritts and her husband Kevin of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Diann Wilson of Jennings, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren Jakob, Shannell, Peggy J., Johnny, Eli, Ella, Payton and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.
