Jennings resident Ramona Grace Jacobson, was born May 1, 1917 in Falls City, Nebraska to Buford S. and Grace (Buell) Norris. Ramona attended schools in Falls City, Nebraska and Fort Scott, Kansas. As a teenager she sang with an orchestra at Ft. Scott, Kansas. She also sang on the radio in Coffeyville, Kansas in the 1930's. Ramona was united in marriage to Woodrow W. Jacobson at Butler, Missouri on May 15, 1938. In 1942 Ramona and Woodrow moved to Tulsa then later in 1985 they made their home in Jennings. Ramona enjoyed to do crossword puzzles, reading as well as spending time with her grandchildren.

Ramona passed away December 10, 2001 at Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years 7 months and 9 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Woodrow, brother Robert Norris, sister Thelma Norris, a son Larry William Jacobson and a great grandchild Lyndsi Sizemore.

Survived by daughter and her husband, Patricia and Jack Weaver of Terlton, Oklahoma; Grandchildren, Tammy Potts, Norwich, Kansas; Terena Krlin, Oilton, Oklahoma; Clint Weaver, Fairview, Oklahoma; Kent Weaver, Terlton, Oklahoma; Mark Jacobson, Sand Springs, Oklahoma; Beckie Endicott, Terlton, Oklahoma; Great Grandchildren, Ashley and Justin Potts, Norwich, Kansas; Dustin and Mandy Finney, Oilton, Oklahoma; Tommy and Tracey Krlin, Oilton, Oklahoma; Brent, Anna & Alaina Grace Weaver, Fairview, Oklahoma; Leah Jacobson, Mannford, Oklahoma; Mitchell Endicott, Terlton, Oklahoma as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held December 13, 2001 at 2:00 PM at Oak Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Doyle Hutcherson officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Mannford, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc of Cleveland, Oklahoma.
