Paul David Chenault, 62, of Cleveland, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 7th, 2025, at Oklahoma State University Medical Center.
Born on August 13, 1962, in Stafford, Kansas, Paul was a proud graduate of Clear Lake High School. He went on to attend Oklahoma State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1987. His career at Frontier Electronics System Inc. began while he was still a student, marking the beginning of what would become a remarkable 40-year journey with the company. As one of a handful of young, bright engineers, Paul distinguished himself by tackling challenges that would have been difficult for even seasoned engineers. His career culminated in his role as a highly competent Program Manager, where he skillfully led Frontier's work on programs with the US Navy for over a decade. Throughout his professional life, Paul was known for his strong work ethic, problem-solving abilities, and the lasting friendships he built with colleagues. Paul's sense of humor served him well, and he responded to others with genuine care and compassion tempered with honesty. He was a beloved member of the Frontier family, where his impact will continue to resonate through the products built and the problems solved. Paul was an avid sports fan, with his heart belonging to the Oklahoma State University Cowboys. Paul also had a love for travel, which he enjoyed both for business and pleasure, allowing him to see the world and experience different cultures.
Paul's greatest joy came from spending time with friends and family on Keystone Lake aboard his unique pontoon boat, famously known for its split OSU/OU design that made it one of the most recognizable vessels on the water. He took pride in creating a welcoming "man cave" in his garage, where loved ones would gather to share stories and laughter. A true music enthusiast, Paul could effortlessly identify songs and artists, and delighted in challenging friends and family to music trivia. Above all, Paul was a devoted family man - a loving husband to Holly, a proud father, and a dedicated son who would do anything for his parents. His commitment to family was evident in everything he did.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Holly Lynn Chenault; his children, Candace Janette Tardiff and her husband Channing Miles Tardiff, and Joshua Clayton Price; his parents, David Orman Chenault and Mildred Leah Chenault; his sister, Cindy Gail Woods and her husband Scott Henry Woods; and his beloved grand dogs, Zeus and Lessi Tardiff. He was predeceased by his brother, Stanley Orman Chenault.
In honor of Paul's vibrant spirit and his final wishes, friends and family are invited to raise a glass and celebrate a life well-lived at his family home in Cleveland, OK on Saturday, April 26, 2025, starting at 2pm.
