Patricia Jean Reed

Funeral servicies for Patricia Jean Reed will be held 11:00 am Friday, February 19, 2016, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Rev. David Head officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com.

Patsy was born on was born September 22, 1940, in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Patsty was the daughter of Henry Stacy and Virginia Dottie (Shipman) Willig. Patsy was raised and received her education in Cleveland, Oklahoma. At the completion of her education remained in Cleveland and was later united in marriage to Jack Lowery Reed on October 22, 1964. After their marriage Patsy and Jack established their home in Cleveland where they raised their three children Mike, Amanda and Linda.

Patsy loved to travel. She took many vacations including cruises and one trip to Disney World which she said once was enough. Patsy loved to read, needle point and do arts and crafts. She also loved walking, horses and dogs. Patsy enjoyed living in the country and spent many hours growing flowers. Western novels and stories about the early times were some of her favorite books to read.

Patsy passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, in Meeker, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years old.

Survivors are her two children Michael Reed of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Linda Martin of Newalla, Oklahoma; brother James Willig of Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic; one granddaughter Amanda Sue Martin of Newalla, Oklahoma as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Patsy was preceded in death by her mother Virginia Carrington, father Henry Willig, husband Jack Reed, daughter Amanda Jean Reed, brother Charles Loyd Willig, step father Jack Carrington and her beloved Pomeranian Grizzly.
