Oleta Williams, a longtime resident of Cleveland was born January 17, 1921 in Wynona, Oklahoma to Charles Henry and Elsie (Smith) Perkey. At a young age Oleta moved with her family to the Wildhorse Area. Oleta attended the local schools while residing in Wildhorse. After her graduation she was united in marriage to John Condray in 1940, to this union there are four children. Oleta returned to Cleveland, Oklahoma in the late 1950's. On November 7, 1960 Oleta was united in marriage to Troy Cecil Williams at Pawhuska, Oklahoma and to that union there are two children. After their marriage they continued to make Cleveland their home.
Oleta and Troy began a joint operation of the Snack Bar on Caddo with John and Eethel Williams. After several years and the birth of their first daughter they sold their half to John and Eethel. Oleta was a very faithful member of the Western Heights Baptist Church. She was active with the WMU as well as a Sunday School Teacher and church treasurer. Oleta served on the kitchen committee and was active with Vacation Bible School. In her spare time Oleta loved to crochet, sew and oil paint. After TroyÃs retirement they loved to visit Branson and drink their morning coffee at Wal Mart.
Oleta went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, November 15, 2005 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years 9 months and 28 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Charles Perkey, Jr. and daughter Glenda Sue Condray.
Survived by her loving children Gail Frank of Omro, Wisconsin; Robert Condray of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Stephen Condray of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Kathy Williams McEntire of Blackburn, Oklahoma; Robin Leonard of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two sisters Sue Sizemore Ray of Hominy, Oklahoma; Betty Jo Perkey of Hominy, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, one great grandson, one great great grandson and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Travis Condray, Spencer Condray, Stephanie Condray, Israel McEntire, Chelsey McEntire, and Elijah McEntire.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 18, 2005 at 2:00 pm at the Western Heights Baptist Church with Rev. David Head officiating. Burial will follow at Dixie-Bear Creek Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
