Odis Lee Wilson, Jr.

Odis Lee Wilson, Jr. was born March 25, 1972 in Kingsburg, California. He was the son of Odis Lee Wilson Sr. and Janice Giggs Wilson. Odis was raised in California and Arizona and attended school in both states.

He moved with his family to the Hallett, Oklahoma area in 1995 and has been employed by Anchor Roofing for the past three years as a roofer. Odis loved life, always happy and joking with his family and friends. He was loved by all he came in contact with and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Odis loved to fish and had just checked his limb lines with his friend and co-worker, Ronnie Summers when their car was struck by a train, south and east of Terlton. Odis passed away at the scene of the accident as a result of injuries received at the age of twenty-nine years, ten months and six days. He was on his way to work at the time of the accident.

Odis was an avid football fan and especially liked the Oakland Raiders. He enjoyed music of all types but really enjoyed Hank Williams, Jr.

Odis is survived by parents, Odis Lee Wilson Sr. and his step-mother, Teresa; his mother, Janice Griggs of Dinuba, California; son, Robert Shane Wilson of Ohio; fiancÈe, JoAnn E Smith of Jennings, Oklahoma; sister, Angel Rowe of Dinuba, California; his grandfather, Lowell Wilson of Selma, California an a cousin, Nancy Wilson of Cleveland, Oklahoma.; numerous other relative and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, February 7, 2002 at the Jennings Cemetery. Burial will be at the Jennings Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
