Funeral services for Jorene Piguet will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday June 12, 2003 at the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery Chapel officiated by Rev. David Downing of the Assembly of God Church in Wynona, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home of Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Nelta Jorene Stanton Piguet, of Sand Springs was born September 18, 1933 in Wicher, Oklahoma to Jess Elmer and Edna Blanche (Williams) Lee. Jorene was raised in Wicher then later the family moved to Wynona, Oklahoma. Jorene received her education in Wynona. November 10, 1950 Jorene was united in marriage to Leo H. Stanton in Bartlesville to this union there are two children Bobby and Debbie. In the early 1980Ãs Jorene moved from Wynona to Cleveland. While Jorene was living in Cleveland she was a care giver to the elderly. In 1990 Jorene moved to Sand Springs where she has lived since. Jorene was a avid movie watcher and also loved to crochet in her spare time. She was also a very loving and careing mother devoted to her family.
Jorene passed away June 9, 2003 at her home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years 8 months and 21 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Noni and a brother Sidney.
Survived by her children, Bob and wife Paula Stanton of Barnsdall, Oklahoma; Debbie and husband Larry Evans of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; sisters, Wilma Reed of Winnewood, Oklahoma; Charlotte Sartin of Davis, Oklahoma; Patsy of Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Clint Stanton of Barnsdall, Oklahoma; Andrea Lane of Barnsdall, Oklahoma; Blaine Thomas Evans of Enid, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Michael Collin Lane of Barnsdall, Oklahoma.
