Naomi Ruth Wiseman passed from this life on February 27, 2020, with her family at her side in Stillwater, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years.

Naomi was born on July 17, 1933, in Cleveland, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Herman Clyde and Oma Belle (Woods) Lay. Naomi grew up and attended school in Cleveland. Following the completion of her education, Naomi was united in marriage and moved to Paola, Kansas. In 1976, Naomi moved from Paola and returned to Cleveland, Oklahoma. She was later introduced to the love of her life Edwin L. Wiseman. The couple was united in marriage on April 1, 1978. They established their initial home in Cleveland before moving to Woodward then later to Cushing. While residing in Cushing, Naomi worked at Wal-Mart and retired as the department manager in the later 1990’s. In 2000, Naomi and Edwin returned to Cleveland where they have continued to reside.

Naomi enjoyed crocheting, painting as well as arts and crafts. Naomi also enjoyed traveling especially to Branson and Las Vegas. She also took a trip to Hawaii with Vicki and Cindy which she mentioned on numerous occasions. Spending time at the Senior Citizens listening to music and dancing was favorite things for her to do. However, her most enjoyable time was reading the Bible and learning something new every time she picked it up.

Survivors will include her husband Edwin of the home, six children Monty Block and wife Susan of Kingsville, Missouri, Vicki Rolland and Roger Sigrist of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Cindy Cates and husband Alan of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Brett Prothe and Barbara Epperly of Clayton, Missouri, John Wiseman and wife Wendy of Carney, Oklahoma, Pam Moore and her husband Cliff of Rush Springs, Oklahoma; two brother-in-laws Joe Garcia of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Wallace Wiseman of Hugo, Oklahoma; two sister-in-laws Billie Lay of Paola, Kansas, Clarice Dixon of Tulsa, Oklahoma; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. In addition to her parents Naomi was preceded in death by her daughter Susan Diane Block, three sisters Oneda Harp, Bernice Kent, Johnnie Garcia and one brother Lowell Lay.

Services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday March 2, 2020 at the Nazarene Church in Cleveland, Oklahoma with Pastor Steve Brown officiating. Burial will be held in the Woodland Cemetery at Cleveland, Oklahoma. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
