Marie Hardy, a resident of Stillwater, Oklahoma and formerly of Cleveland, Oklahoma was born March 8, 1920, in Coffeyville, Kansas to William and Martha (Price) Mosley. As a young girl Marie was raised and attended school in Stigler, Oklahoma. On April 13, 1940, she was united in marriage to Louis Hardy in Eufaula, Oklahoma. To this union there are two children, Don and Linda. After their marriage they remained in Stigler until 1955. Marie and Louis then moved to Broken Arrow where they continued to live until 1972 when they moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma. In 1999 Marie moved to Stillwater to be closer to her daughter Linda where she has lived since.
Marie loved to cook, sew, crochet and was very devoted to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Louis, brother Robert, sister Ruby and brother Raymond.
She passed away June 13, 2003, at the age of 83 years 3 months and 5 days.
Survived by her two children, son Don and wife Peggy Hardy of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and daughter Linda Miesner of Stillwater, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Bill Miesner of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Kathy and husband Jeff Bronkey of Edmond, Oklahoma; Michael Hardy of Berlin, Germany; Teresa Hardy of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; six great grandchildren, Sarene & Sierra Bronkey, Brandy & Jacob Miesner, Tanner Kennedy, Tyler Erter; as well as a sister, Betty Ford of St. Charles, Missouri.
Services will be held Monday June 16, 2003, at 2:00 pm in the Chapman-Black Chapel with Wilbur Wooton officiating. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home of Cleveland, Oklahoma.
