Naida Frances Talbott, 74, passed from this life on Saturday, September 15, 2018, in Pawnee, Oklahoma at Southern Oaks Care Center.

Frances was born September 11, 1944, in Watertown, New York. She was the daughter of Robert John and Ida Elizabeth (Brackett) Jarvis. Frances later moved with her family to Yorktown, Virginia where she completed her education. Frances was residing in Bermuda and during that time she was united in marriage to Leon Brannan, Sr. The couple established their home in Yulee, Florida. In 1974, Frances and Leon moved to Haughton, Louisiana. During that time the two owned and operated Haughton Plumbing for many years. On October 30, 1989, Frances was united in marriage to Jesse Talbott. The two moved to Port Arthur, Texas and soon moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma following Hurricane Rita destroying their property. Frances later moved in with Leon and Trudy due to her failing health.

Frances loved to work in the garden, read the Bible and enjoyed auto mechanics. She often felt that her most significant accomplishments in life were her children and grandchildren who she was very proud of. Frances would often talk about how she enjoyed and was very grateful she was able to be there for her grandchildren being born. As well as the times watching Julia take tootsie rolls from Pops shirt pocket and being there for the planning of her daughter’s wedding. Frances loved music and always enjoyed the time listening to her mother play the piano.

Frances always enjoyed the mountains and the beauty of God’s creation. She would never let anything stop her which also would sometimes get her in trouble. Frances was a longtime Boy Scout Troop Leader and was very passionate about it remaining a boy’s only organization. Church, friends, and family always gave Frances great enjoyment. She would not want any tears shed for her and would wish to family and friends to remember her as vibrant and alive.


Survivors are her children Leon C. Brannan, Jr. and his wife Trudy of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Nadine E Tucker and her husband Robert of Sulphur, Louisiana, Bryan Fieldson of Chino Valley, Arizona; one brother Willie Ralph Jarvis of Savannah, Georgia; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Eva Ann Arthur, brother Robert J Jarvis, Jr and a stepson Bill Talbott.
